Car seats for cockpits

Recommended Posts

I'm in the UK and would like to know if anyone can reccommend car seats that have similar characteristics to airline cockpit seats. I haven't decided which airliner cockpit to build yet so I'm intereted in any Aibus, Boeing, regional etc cockpits.

I am currently using 2 seats from a 2004 Chryslet PT Cruiser. They are very comfortable and affordable ($60 US ea) I did build a seat like the one mentioned, but did not like its "Feel". I'm not building my cockpit to scale as some, so the savings on the seats versus real ones was an easy decision. Pics are on my site.Rodneywww.rocketrod.us

Took me quite a while to find those pictures. Anyway, I got Chrysler seats myself. The ones from the back row which can be removed so you got a bigger trunk. Mines don't got arm-things however :(Either way, it's good to have these car seats cuz they are well comftable. I did however modify 1 already to get the gap in there for the yoke.
