Full screen with FS2004 and multiple monitors

Featured Replies

Gentlemen ,I have FS with multiple monitors , one for front view and other four (4) for main panel, radio and cdu .When I am windowned everything is OK , each panel in its monitor , when I go to full screen the main panel that before was in two monitors goes to only one , the others (radio radar etc.) decrease their size and change their position in corresponding the monitors. How to go to full screen without disturbing the screens of all monitors ?Thanks and regardsAlberto Kunzel

It may depend upon how you have configured your multiple monitor setup. I had display problems similar to your.I have a single dual head card. When I first set it up, I used the Nvidea installation wizard. It configured the two monitors as an "extended desktop". I could put FS into windowed mode, undock the instrument panel, and drag it to the second monitor. When I toggled out of windowed mode, FS went back to its orignal display on the first monitor. To resolve the issue, I had to use the Windows Display Property tool to configure the two monitors as two separate, but adjacent displays. I'm guessing that the Nvidea installation wizard made the two monitors look like a single, double width monitor to the operating system.Mikewww.mikesflightdeck.comwww.mikesflightdeckbooks.com

All I can suggest is that you start the ATI configuration program and see if it offers different options. When I run the NVidia program I see the monitors identified as "1" and "2" when they are identified separately to the operating system and work well with FS. When configured as an extended desktop (and not working well with FS), the two monitors are identified as "1a" and "1b".I realize that this is not much information, but perhaps it is a clue that will help.Mikewww.mikesflightdeck.comwww.mikesflightdeckbooks.com
