Speed of PFD and ND
Gentlemen ,I am building a home cockpit based on PMDG 737 and had to create a new window with FSpanel in order to have in copilot panel the PFD and ND.All is working nice except that the speed strip in PFD of the main panel is moving quicker than the strip of the copilot panel. What I have to do in order I get both moving at same speed? Also , when I try to install the 737-800/900 I get an warning saying that I must have a 737-600/700 installed , but I have the 737-600/700 installed.thanks and regardsAlberto Kunzel

Default flight
>You can modify the default flight manually in the fs9.CFG. >Look for the line:>>SITUATION=[drive]Documents and>Settings[user]JimMy DocumentsFlight Simulator>Files[filename of default flight]>>Replace [filename of default flight] with the filename>of another flight (*.FLT) that you have saved in the Flight>Simulator Files folder. Realistic force feedback with coil & magnet ?
Gentlemen ,I am sending attached what I will do to my cockpit .As I am Mechanical Engineer I play a lot with mechanicals .From the drawing you can see that I will use one wheel, one spring ,one small bar thread ,one porca ,one electric motor (DC ) and one R/C servo .The idea is very simple , the Servo will follow the air speed of the aircraft and will turn on and off the electric motor ,more speed the spring will be more compressed and the friction between the wheel and the part A will increase , and vice-versa .Mechanically speaking, as the nut is fixed when the Electric motor run it slide up and down and the spring is decompressed or compressed respectively .The same system will be done for yoke concernig the aileron .Regards.Alberto Kunzel

Separate gauges & scenery display

3+ Monitors on 2 7900GTs, FSX.. HOW?
>Hey gang.. I need some help here....>>I have been running along on my Dell 2405 24" LCD for a while>now and Love it. I have seen that some of you have been>running multiple displays so I thought I'd go ahead and bite>the bullet and order a pair of 20" 2007FP's to sit on either>side of the 2405 to give a nice 3 panel wrap around display>for FSX.>>Unfortunately, I can't seem to figure out how to do it. I have>the 2405 on it's own card (a 7900GT) and then the 2 20's>hooked to a second 7900GT (not in SLI mode!). When I go into>the video card settings, I see the NView stuff, but it only>lets me stretch the display across any 2 monitors hooked to a>single card, not across monitors hooked to multiple cards.>>Alternatively, I was thinking I could just run in windowed>mode, and open up 2 more windows for views and undock them and>run them in the 2 20" displays, but I can't seem to figure out>how to get them to display front left and front right. Instead>they just show the same thing as the front view on the 2405.>>HELP! There MUST be a way to fix this!!!>>And do NOT say one of those crappy Triplehead-to-Go things...>The resolution maximums on that thing is pathetic!>>--MikeHi Mike ,I suppose that you are using Windows XP.Opening the video card setting you will see the three monitors , just click on each one and below check a box that say you" extend the window work area to this monitor " , and that's it .Now in window mode you can undock the panel to cover all three monitors.Any doubt let me know.RegardsAlberto Kunzel

Separate gauges & scenery display
>Would be nice if someone could write an app to allow the FS>guages themselves to be run remotely.Hi You can use Wideview ( www.wideview.it ).For your information I use it with two PCs , in one PC ,the powerfull ,I have a PCI-E card and a projector for front view , only scenery. In the other PC I have six(6) video cards and six (6) monitors for panels , Wideview does the link between the two PCs.Very easy and inexpensive .RegadsAlberto Kunzel

Easiest way to use 4 monitors?
>Hi Alberto,>>That sounds like an awsome setup you have there. I have heard>of Wideview before but never really looked into it as I have>only the one PC. I was wondering how you control the panels>on a second pc? Do you have to use the mouse on the second pc>to click switches on the panels etc? and fly the plane with a>joystick or yoke on the server pc with the scenery?>>Many thanks>DeanHi Dean ,The scenery is handled by the client PC and with a projector .The panels are handled by the server PC and with the six (6) monitors ,I control the plane from the server PC with mouse ,keyboard keys , etc. I fly with a yoke on the server PC . The client PC handle only the scenery , this way we can maximise all sliders , and have good fps and no stutters .Wideview is not expensive , it is a great software .RegardsAlberto Kunzel

Easiest way to use 4 monitors?
>Hi Alberto,>>It sounds like you have a serious system going on. I can>highly recommend IOCards to enhance your experience. I know>there are other systems equally good out there, but I found>the Spanish experience quite simple and very flexible (also>quite inexpensive). Once you start using their SIOC>programming application you will find that there is nothing>beyond your reach as far as recreating the realism. Easiest way to use 4 monitors?
>Dean,>>There is no option but to shell out some cash by the looks of>it. However you might pick up a second-hand PCI card at a>computer salvage? CRT's a pretty cheap these days also.>>The other option, as Ian mentioned, would be to use a second>PC. You would need to use something like WideView to run FS>on both PC's, which is payware, but you can download a limited>time trial version to evaluate. This option would take the>load off you single PC and maintain good frame rates. I run>anything I can on the second networked PC in order to free up>as much as possible on the main.>>Ian, thanks for info on running NVidia an ATI together. I>wasn't aware that was possible, or at least it would cause>problems. That should open up the options for cheap second>hand hardware for Dean. BTW, how is Tassie? I'm a Perth>boy.>>Ken.>>Hi Dean,Welcome to the club of several monitors guys.My system nowadays have six (6) monitors and one (1) projector with two (2) PCs.Before I had one PC with 4 monitors and 1 projetor , but I had also a lot of stutters , so , I decided to change my configuration.I have one PC ( Intel/dual core/3.4GHZ/2GB RAM/NVIDIA 6200 Turbo 512 MB )connected to this PC I have the projector with the front view , only the scenary , the second PC ( P4 HT/3 GHZ/2GB RAM/ATI 800GTO 256 MB )I have connected the six monitors .For connection between the PCs I use WideView , PC with scenary as Client and PC with six monitors as Server, with this set up I don't have more stutters , everything is very smooth .In the six monitors , I use three for main panel ,one for CDU , one for Radio stack and one for Overhead panel , nowadays I fly DF 737-400 . The best 737-400 we have in our hobby ,everything is simulated .As this 737-400 was originally delivered for FS2002 I use it in my server PC and in the client I use FS2004.The reason for this FS configuration is very simple , I fly normally with scenaries of my country ( Brazil), we have excellent scenaries produced by our people for FS2004 , the DF737-400 for FS 2002 is wonderfull , so to fly this set is really outstanding. My next step is add IOCARDS , as I use a keyboard hacked system ,which work very nice but I thing that with IOCARDS I will improve the system.Any question let me know.RegardsAlberto Kunzel

How to discover the offset in a gauge
>Huh???...>That's strange!>I had successfully moved the PFD and ND to a second monitor>even on full screen with the FeelThere 737.>You click on the PFD and/or ND, and drag them to the other>monitor.>Did you try that?>>But, as I said before, CURRENTLY, apart from paying heavy for>Project Magenta or such there is NO 737 that allows>interaction and can be used by home cockpit builders.>The new boeing glass gauges however (see other posts past>days) are looking very promising. And if the price of the FMC>is low as they say, it will be a very good alternative.>>For now, the one and only aircraft with FULL home cockpit>support is the LevelD 767 (like Nico already said).>That's the one I'm building around too.>>George Dorkofikis>Athens, Hellas>http://online.vatsimindicators.net/811520/1704.png>Hi George ,Thanks for your input. With PFD and ND is possible move them to other monitor because they are a window , but other gauges is not possible .The only way I am thinking to do is doing some direct changes in the panel.cfg as in there we have all gauges in VC area .The DF737-400 from Dreamfleet is easy to use for home cockpit , we can move all gauges , but the problem is that some offsets are not the default MSFS offsets , in order to bypass this problem I am using keymouse2 and a hacked keyboard , but I have some limitation to do an almost real cockpit .Maybe I will give a try with LevelD 767.RegardsAlberto KunzelRio de Janeiro - Brazil

How to discover the offset in a gauge
>>Hi George ,>>>>Thank you . I will try the Feelthere .>>>>Best regards>>>>Alberto Kunzel>>Or try the Level-D 767-300ER. For that aircraft you can build>a fully operational MCP (and much more) based on FSUIPC ofsets>via the Level-D SDK and my FSCONV program.>>Best Regards,>Nico>http://www.nicokaan.nlNico ,Thanks for your advice .Really for us building cokckpits is very difficult to get a panel which have all our needs. Now I discovered that with Feelthere is impossible to pick the gauges and split them by two monitors , the main panel is only one gauge , the gauges are protected within the main panel , so there is no way to get those gauges individually .I am using FS Panel Studio and is impossible to extract the gauges from the main panel.RegardsAlberto Kunzel

How to discover the offset in a gauge
>Hi Alberto,>>Unfortunately you are going to find nothing!>The DF737 uses own internal variables and not offsets so there>is no way to read/write to these values.>>The only 737 that uses default a/p values is the outstanding>FeelThere 737-300/400.
