November 26, 200619 yr Hi, Im considering using the Reality XP software in a dual seat generic corporate cockpit project. I plan to use a Matrox Tripple Head to Go for the outside visuals off of one PC. Would it be possible to run the Reality XP gauges on the second head off of the same computer? Also, If I wanted to run the PFD and ND on both sides propperly, with the two mirroring each other instead of mere duplicates, does the Reality software allow this for the Jet Line 4?Thanks,Eric T
November 30, 200619 yr I would think that the performance you'd get from such a setup would be unacceptable - too many views being generated by the same PC. (I have no idea whether even the hardware setup you're thinking of is possible...)An alternative is to consider running something by (for instance) Project Magenta on a another PC (or PCs!). I own a couple of their products (GA Cockpit and also their corporate jet displays); I haven't messed with them in about a year but back when I was really hammering on this stuff I found their products to be at least a bit overpriced and buggy on top of that. But - they are all about display software that runs on a separate PC, and to my knowledge all of the freeware efforts to this end have kind of disappeared from the scene.PM has freeware evaluation versions available. Give them a try.If the Reality XP guy could figure out how to make his stuff run on a separate PC that is not running FS, I think he'd be in the money 8^) . He could also learn a few things about how to play nice with the other vendors in this biz, but that's another story.Dave Blevins System: Asus P8Z68 Deluxe/Gen3 mobo *** i7 2700K @ 5gHz w/ Corsair H80 cooler NVidia GTX 570 OC *** 8 GB 1600 Corsair Vengeance DRAM *** CoolerMaster HAF X case System overclocked and tuned for FSX by fs-gs.com Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog stick/throttle & CH Products Pro Pedals Various GoFlight panels *** PFC avionics stack
