I just downloaded the new Dash 8 and was wondering if anybody else noticed that it appears to be the MSFS2002 Dash 8 model with a stretched fuselage. The front portion looks exactly the same as the default model.....Is it the same (except for a few model changes)?And if it is, isn't violation of copyright to release it as your own model that you "modified"?Thanks!Shane

Shane,I don't believe it is a copyright violation, as the author states in his documentation that the MS model was included in the Gmax kit distributed with FS2002 Pro Edition.

I haven't read the license on that Gmax source, but I think it will mention that distribution is not allowed and that it is for educational purposes only.It is probably open for debate whether a modification of some of the parts in that model would count as being enough change to make it a new work falling under the fair use clause in US copyright law.
