September 30, 200718 yr In several Aircraft add-ons it is possible to undock the FMC/MCDU,but I also want to undock the actual FMC screen separately (to place it on my hardware MCDU).So the FMC frame with the buttons and Line-select keys should remain on the other monitor. How do I do this?PaulusP
September 30, 200718 yr Paulus- I don't know of any way to separate the CDU screen from its frame- other than to enlarge it so that it's that much bigger than the physical monitor screen size and the frame disappears. On my system that tends to cause problems. I'm running triple monitors and in the absence of a separate CDU mon, my right mon looks like this for PMDG 747:Top 1/3 is View Right Forward- horizontally lined up & synched with main mon View Fwd. Below is CDU, Lower CRT popup, Right CDU. Below the Lower CRT popup is EICAS popup & Misc Panel popup. Underlaying the R CDU is Throttle accessed via Panel switcher- (which also brings up Overhead on this mon & COM on left mon:normally full screen View Left Fwd plus Kneeboard C/lists as req'd.) Not nearly as complex as this description! (OH panel is sized so fuel switches are visible for engine start.)This arrangement with CDUs on either side of the lower CRT is esentially same as the real bird. Having dual CDUs is handy since you can have different pages open at same time.(AMD 1.8 GHz with 3 GeForce FX5200 vid cards.)Alex Reid CYYJ

October 3, 200718 yr Alex,That looks really nice! The wide view adds much more realism. The lines between the screens are so thin, that it almost looks like 1 very wide screen. Must be fun, flying like this!I guess you control the FMC's with your mouse?PaulusP
October 3, 200718 yr Paulus- When you take screenshots with multi monitors, the monitor bezels/frames are deleted and the three pics are joined. Also, the monitors are treated as being in a flat plane- my left mon is actually angled 45
