October 29, 200817 yr Hi all, this may be a dumb ?, but what is this MDF. some of you use for your cockpit building. In the pictures it looks like fine grain particle board. In this area of the usa.the only thing that they sell labled MDF. looks like compressed card board. not very machinable. thanks.
October 29, 200817 yr MDF stands for medium density fiberboard. It is made in several different grades. The cheaper stuff does indeed look like compressed cardboard. Higher quality MDF is stable and strong.Mikewww.mikesflightdeck.comwww.mikesflightdeckbooks.com
