Avsim Conference Overkill

Tom and Crew,being a daily reader of AVSIM for over 3 years and loving your site in general, I have something to rant about. I never post anything, though I read the forums several times a day.rant mode on --The way you promote the AVSIM conference on your site is - mildly put- absolute overkill!1)Two or three headlines a day on the front page2)A countdown counter on the forum pages the screws up older browsers3)Weekly x-forum posts.It gets really annoying and is considered as NOISE as far as I am concerned. You have to remember that MOST readers are NOT able to attend simply because it is clearly not in their 'neck of the woods'.While a wish the conference to be a success I think you are overdoing it by several units on the Richter-scale.Readers that want to know about it, know about it by now.My 2 cents (Canadian).rant mode off --In general: Keep up the good work!Joern
