Pressurization

Featured Replies

Hey, I was just reading in my 777 manual how pressurization works. I got the 'jist' of it and all. BUT, how do you 'program' it. do you just enter the Altimeter settings and the systems to the rest(including switiching everything to auto/on, on the overhead panel? I would love to know ASAP!! thank you very much!

Now, come on! this is pathetic. some ones has got to have an idea of what the answer is... :-lol

In most transport aircraft pressurization systems, the only input it requires to work in auto mode is a destination elevation. This is so that it knows what altitude to descend the cabin to. Some require you to enter it via the panel and some can take the info directly from the FMC. In manual mode, if the auto mode is inop, the pilots are required to manually control the outflow valves to maintain the desired cabin altitude.
