The New Dash 8/FlightPlans

Featured Replies

Hello all, I am enjoying the new Dash 8 plane and panel, Is there a way to fly using existing MS flight plan's?? How is everyone getting around with this bird?ThanksPaulKBDL

Hi Paul,I haven't tried any automation yet -- just going navaid to navaid, sometimes along the VFR airways using the sectionals, and sometimes with a printed flightplan made in FSNavigator. Sometimes just circuits or really short flights. My longest flight has been Ottawa to Pittsburgh.I think I'd better try FSNavigator as the FMC and see if that works. Anybody tried it yet? It's probably a long shot. . .See ya later,Greghttp://www3.sympatico.ca/gregory.moffatt/sig1.jpg

I have FSNav and it won't control the new Dash-8. I just manually enter the heading to the next waypoint as displayed in the FSNav FMS. Not the greatest but at least you can fly your flight plan.

A taste of how you really have to do it (but in this plane you do have a FMC so its not really.) In version 2, there will be a FMC, so then you can fly flightplans with that. But from now on, track VORs and such. Use charts. Drew Andersonhttp://www.dr3w.net/flightsim/
