United Virtual and Virtual Air Canada Announce Partners...

Recommended Posts

CHICAGO/MONTREAL, November 5, 2005 -- United Virtual Airlines and Virtual Air Canada today announced a partnership to fully integrate operations in the ongoing Saturday afternoon VATSIM group event, The Saturday Scramble. Combined, the two virtual airlines count more than 1,000 pilots. This brings a very large base of potential participants to an online event. The Scramble starts with departures from several airports in the current Air Canada and United Airlines schedules. All converge on the same destination, arriving at the scheduled times. This provides a steady flow of traffic during the arrival period, and closely simulates real world airline operations. Participating pilots may also choose to depart from the destination airport. The Saturday Scramble was developed in response to survey data demonstrating that, given the choice, the majority of UVA and VCA members prefer Saturday's for group flights.Members of other VATSIM-based virtual airlines are welcome to join in The Scramble. Follow your company procedures for flying and filing your flight. Check here for Scramble details: www.united-virtual.com/index.php?module=pagemaster&PAGE_user_op=view_page&PAGE_id=26&MMN_position=24:24 About Virtual Air Canada:Virtual Air Canada is a community of flight simulator pilots who want more realism added to their flights.
