TexAir is now open for business in its first of a few stages. The website that is online now will serve as a temporary center until better services can be obtained. It is not yet fully operational, but most of the airline is. The aircraft are being launched on a daily basis and the schedule is ready for service. Within the next few weeks we should be in full swing. Our permanent address is going to be http://www.texairva.org, however the domain provider is currently having some problems. I will reply to this message when that address is operational. Our temporary address is http://texairva.tripod.com. WE NEED PILOTS! The routes can't be flown without pilots, so we're currently hiring. We operate out of Austin, TX (KAUS) and San Antonio, TX (KSAT) and have plans to expand our hub operations to 4 more airports across the USA in the near future. We provide passenger service nationwide as well as a commuter airline for Texas residents (not operating yet). Because of the delay in getting the entire fleet airborne, anybody who signs up as a pilot will be automatically promoted to the B737-700 rank (Major). This is in effect ONLY until the entire fleet is launched, which will most likely be early next week. Also, it is a standard procedure that we will transfer up to 100 hours from another VA (with sufficient evidence). Apply by going to the "Sign Up" page on our website. WE NEED MANAGERS! I can't operate the entire airline without at least a little help. This means that I need some managers. I'm looking for two Hub Captains with some descent VA experience, preferrably management, and high pilot hours. My webpage will say that you need 300+ hours to be a Hub Captain, however I am willing to waive that for my first two. I'm also looking for a Fleet Manager to paint our liveries onto our aircraft, find new aircraft for us, and make the liveries even better. I'm only a novice at repaints, so I want someone with talent. If you think you have it, apply for these positions by going to our "Management" page and following the links for open positions. More later! Thanks, and hope to see ya in the skies!
