Experimental Flight Testing

Featured Replies

TexAir announced today that due to the lateness of the arrival of the new schedule, effective immeadiately an open experimental flight testing period is operational. What this means is that we will be allowing our pilots to fly to/from one of our new hubs and the destination of their choice within the United States valid for regular hours. Because of this, we have begun recruiting pilots for all hubs now (KAUS, KGEG, KBUF). We have a nice variety of express and mainline aircraft as you may have seen in a recent post. For those of you who missed it, they are: EMB-120 CRJ-200 CRJ-700 MD-83 737-600 737-700 767-300 They are all painted with a beautiful, shiny, bare metal livery designed by fleet manager Jeff Stewart. We are also recruiting pilots for our Express Center, KDEN. Our express center is much like a hub for our express services, but unlike a hub, it does not have an assigned manager. It is a great place for new pilots to start, as the Denver area provides for some great weather flying. We will transfer up to 200 hours for pilots with a valid link to a current/previous VA roster. Please remember that this experimental testing is only active until our new schedule is launched, which won't be long. Some other restrictions apply, see our website & forum for more details. NEW PIREP SYSTEM We have recently acquired the ePirep system, so all of our rosters, signups, and PIREPs are now automated. It's a great and easy-to-use system. MANAGEMENT VACANCIES TexAir is also still looking for Hub Captains for KAUS and KBUF. If you are interested, please fill out the application on our Management page. We invite everyone to come visit our website. It is still under construction in some places, but for the most part it is up and running and looks great. http://www.texairvirtual.org Thank you, and you'll hear from us upon the launch of our new schedule!
