TexAir Goes National!

Featured Replies

After a very long month of planning, re-planning, and writing numerous lines in a spreadsheet, we at TexAir are proud to announce that the first version of our nationwide schedule has finally been launched. We now have over 140 daily mainline flights, and over 180 express flights from our hubs and express centers in Austin, Buffalo, Denver, and Spokane. To give a better example of how TexAir operates, here are some excerpts from a welcome message on our forum posted by KGEG Hub Captain Jeff Stewart:"Whether you choose KGEG, KAUS or KBUF [KDEN as well] as your home base you will enjoy the routes, aircraft and schedules we offer. If you like regional, mainline or long haul, TexAir has something to offer. Regardless of your VA hours or simming experience you will find an opportunity here to get in on the 'ground floor' of an exciting virtual airline...One nice and somewhat unique feature of TexAir is the fact that we use a geographic/regional mainline hub structure that utilizes lesser known and in some cases much more challenging airports. We connect the entire country, supplying safe, reliable, convenient and timely flights. We are not 'all about' KORD, KATL or KLAS [even though we do still go there]!! Try a flight into Aspen, Juneau, Missoula or one of many other destinations! Though I am not sure who originated this saying, 'Variety is the spice of life,' at TexAir you will get plenty of challenges and variety...Take a look around the site, check out our easy to use and reliable pirep system. (From ePirep!!) Ask questions of our management team. We believe that our team environment and desire to make VA flying fun will serve our pilots well into the future!"If you are interested in becoming a pilot for TexAir, we are accepting applications for all hubs and express centers as well as for all levels of experience. We have also decided to open up the hours transfers to an unlimited amount. If you're a new pilot, start out flying our cute little Embraer 120 to small airports closer to our hubs and express centers. Have some experience? Try flying our regional jets and mainliners, ranging from the CRJ-200 to the 737-700. We even have something for you pros-we have many 767-300 routes that need flying, too. To sign up, visit our website, http://www.texairvirtual.org and click the "Join" button. We're also still looking for Hub Captains in Austin and Buffalo. With our increased schedule now in full operation, the need to fill these positions is becoming greater. If you have some VA management experience, or if you are looking to move into management, come by our website and click the "Management" button to apply.TexAir now looks into the future for the development of a wonderful Training Center and PHP website. We also have intentions to have international service to Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean very soon. We hope to see many new faces, and wish everyone Happy Flying!P.S. - Don't forget to celebrate the launch of our new schedule with us by joining us at our fly-in event January 31 at KAUS.
