Spring Cleaning is Over and TexAir is Sparkling

Recommended Posts

Let me start off by thanking all of you who attended our Cowboy Breakfast event on April 21. You did not go un-noticed. We appreciate everyone who came in to AUS and SAT for that and definetly plan to have it again next year. Not long after the event, we at TexAir decided to have a little spring cleaning session. Our airline was in some need of a cleanup. It is my pleasure to announce that tonight the dust pan and broom have been put away to reveal our new operations. It's the same iterim website, but with a brand new attitude and schedule. Our schedule was adjusted to be more realistic and logical. Yes, we still have international service, however it has been drastically reduced and limited to North America and the Pacific Theater. Our routes in general have changed too. We decided that Buffalo was not serving us as a hub well and have moved into Minneapolis. Our domestic service is incredible, and there's very few places in the USA that we don't fly. Our schedule also gives pilots the choice of when to fly a route and what aircraft to fly it with. We have routes for every type of pilot. Fly our short commuter and regional routes. Fly our domestic routes. Fly our international long-haul routes. Fly them all! And remember just for you Texas pilots, we've got the most commuter routes in the whole state. Chances are we fly to that airport out in the sticks. Our hubs are Austin (KAUS), Spokane (KGEG), Denver (KDEN), and Minneapolis (KMSP). We are hiring pilots for all of them. Also, we have two Hub Captain positions open for Denver and Minneapolis. Drop by our Management page to apply. Another adjustment we made is to our Pilot Handbook. Our rules had many loopholes before and were not very clear. That has been fixed. Here are some of them: - We still allow our pilots to fly online or offline. - Pilot rank system was adjusted. - Experimental flights are now allowed where a pilot may fly any route they wish so long as it is an aircraft within the limits of their rank. - Hour transfers were made easier. Finally, our beautiful fleet is almost entirely finished. We fly: Embraer 120 DeHavilland Dash 8-200 Bombardier CRJ-200 Bombardier CRJ-700 McDonnell Douglas MD-83 Boeing 717-200 (Coming Very Soon) Boeing 737-300 (Coming Soon) Boeing 737-700 Boeing 757-200 Boeing 767-300 TexAir is all about freedom of flight, and that is the reason behind many of our regulations. We are not a strict airline at all, in fact we are much like a family. All that is required is participation in our forums and one flight every 30 days. If you can do that, then we're perfect for you. So, if you are interested in flying for a great, closely-knit virtual airline, stop by our website and apply. http://www.texairvirtual.org
