September 14, 200223 yr I am aware that asking to compare a flight model with the real thing is always a little silly, but I would like to know if any of you can perform a manual approach on such a/c... I have the hardest time aligning and the rudder action, that I use in GA a/c for that purpose, seems very limited.Do pilots use Charlie systematically? Or is it that I need to go to school? Is the Dash's rudder that sluggish? Thanks.
September 14, 200223 yr Author Make sure your yaw damper is off if you want full rudder control. One thing I did notice is that the rudder is a bit weak for single engine ops. Not enough authority there to keep it straight on one engine below 150 knots. I adjusted the rudder effectiveness in the Aircraft config file from 1.0 to 2.5. This allows for more realistic single engine performance.Cheers,JR
