TexAir Welcomes a New Website

Featured Replies

Good evening pilots,After months of anxiously awaiting an answer to our dinosaur of a website, we have finally installed and completed a new site that will bring TexAir back into modern times once again. We've finally created a great looking, user friendly website that not only increases the abilities of our pilots, but it also gives us a chance to organize them in a way that was previously not possible. We still use VAFS for our pirep system, and our wonderful schedule and fleet is doing well. Pilot activity is as high as it was before we began a renovation project months ago, and we are glad to be back on track. We've also had a recent addition to our system, TicketAir is a realistic daughter company of the airline that focuses on professional sports contracts. Our pilots not only are able to fly all of TexAir's international schedule, but now they can fly interesting charter flights in our new luxury-liner first class Boeing 737-800s (leased but not yet painted). With our new website, endless new features have been introduced to us. Our site is more user friendly to guests and pilots alike. Our pilots for the first time have user accounts which gives them access to a special Pilot Menu where our fleet downloads, flight resources, pilot performance chart, and many other things can be found - with the possibility of many more features in the near future. We've also moved into a self-hosted and much safer message forum which allows us to create pilot accounts when applications are accepted rather than requiring the pilot to make an account themselves as with the previous forum. But not just pilots can find our site useful. Guests are just as welcome, and we have many great pages to be viewed on the Main Menu as well. All this is wonderful for us, but we are desperately in need of more pilots. We have too many aircraft and not enough pilots to fly them, so we need a lot of help. We welcome pilots of all experience levels, too. New pilots can start in our regional line, Texpress!, with our E120s and find their way up the ladder with experience being the one and only condition of promotion. For experienced pilots, we will transfer 100% of verified hours with provided evidence from one of two sources: give us a VA roster link or just tell us your VATSIM ID number (only one source can be used though). We have five different regular pilot ranks that all pay well in virtual money, and there is opportunity for advancement as we are still in need of some staff. You can choose from seven of our great hubs across the USA as well. For activity, we ask you complete a flight within fourteen days of acceptance, and then just once a month after that - not bad at all.So I invite you, if you are interested in working for a great community of virtual aviators in a fantasy-themed airline with a realistic flight schedule, come by our website and see what we're all about. If you like us, go to the Application page, read our SOP, and apply! We'd love to have you. http://texair.vahangar.net
