VA help

Featured Replies

I have been flying msfs for a number of years. I have never joined a VA. Can someone please recommend a VA that is the easiest to use with FS2004 and win 98se. I want the aircraft i download to load themselves into FS2004. I downloaded an aircraft from the avsim library once and my fs2004 wouldnt run...i had to reinstall the software. Please give me advice. Since I started to look at VA's i have become overwhelmed and i dont know what to do. I would also appreciate someones advice about VATSIM..i have been reading some about it and i think it looks nice but it looks hard to configure.ThanksBrian

Brian...decide what type of planes you want to fly, and decide where you want to fly them. When looking at a VA, find out where they are, and go look at the area in the sim. Check over their routes to see if it looks interesting. That will make your choice much easier. To ask 100 people which is the best, isn't the way to go. If you want help, give somemore info on what/where you would like to fly, and we can all help you a bit better. I will warn you of one thing though. Once you try bush flying, you won't go back to anything else! LOL!Don <----Totally unbiased:-roll

Thank you for your help. I want to fly in the southeast US. Mostly turboprops and small jets. Bush pilot VA sounds fun too. Can you recommend one to me.Thanks again...Brian

I run one at www.freewebs.com/allalaskacargo/index.htm, but there are many out there. I have some listed on my other site at www.avsim.com/alaska in the links section.I can't help you out in your quest for the S.E. U.S., but maybe someone who knows of one there can chime in.Don

Well, for the SouthEast, the logical choice would be Delta VA. I'm not sure of their website, but they have a big VATSIM presence and I'm sure you will find it if you do a quick search.
