Web Host Warning

Featured Replies

I don't normally do things like this, but folks need to be warned. If you are looking for a web host for your VA, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT use 101-networking.com. Ozark VA has used them for about one year as we are in a contract. The server goes down nearly once a month for several days at a time. We have tried no less than 12 emails with no response. They moved us to another server which is down and have not contacted us to tell us why they moved us. We have tried to move to another host, only to find that they have locked our domain name (ozarkva, com), and since they don't respond to emails, we cannot get it unlocked. Since they are based in the UK, a phone call wouldn't be worth it,and they'd likely put us on hold for an hour or two.Our VA runs the risk of going the way of the dinosaur because some amateurs want to make a fast buck.Just thought ya'll might like to know.BrianOzarkVA VP

To bring a positive note to the post, I have had great luck with "Lunarpages" out of California. (http://www.lunarpages.com)Very competetive rates, exceptionally helpful support, and servers which have rarely (if EVER) failed during normal hours. They've been a very solid partner in my VA experience. -Greg VirtualUSA http://www.virtualusa.org
