February 7, 200719 yr With the increase in pilots and a much wider schedule now in effect, TexAir has gone (and is still going) to great lengths to improve standards around the company. We have recently drafted our first Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documents, and they are now a requirement for all pilots. Also, we've aquired a brand new Teamspeak server for our pilots to gather, chat, and fly as one big family. A roster of all of our aircraft and their assignments is in the process of being drafted so that pilots will have correct and current registration numbers for the aircraft they fly. Perhaps the biggest projects that are underway right now are the dynamic PHP website, the easy-to-use training center, and a helpful checkride system. None of these are being used at TexAir yet, but they will be very soon. We still have a management opening for a Hub Captain in Buffalo, too. Partnerships have been formed with two ARTCC units, and possibly more to come. Our new schedule is working quite nicely. It allows our pilots to fly to the smallest and most challenging airports in the United States, or they can fly to the busier tourist destinations if they so choose. It is available in an interactive spreadsheet format, or it can be viewed as a list of all our flights in an HTML document. We also allow our pilots to submit new route ideas in our forum. In fact, our forum is a wonderful example of a pilot-focused VA. We hold many polls and surveys there for our pilots that ultimately will determine how we operate something. Our pilots help run TexAir. As you have seen in Ryan's post, our codeshare with RenoExpress was recently enlarged to over 26 round trip flights. We have entered into a wonderful arrangement with them and look forward to future operations. That is what's new at TexAir. Come by and give us a look at http://www.texairvirtual.org.
