Here's a flight to Meigs I flew last winter, two days before they closed it :(This is the route of flight: From Palwaukee Airport we headed east to Lake Michigan at 2,000', then up to 2,500' over the water and a turn to the south to follow the coastline to Meigs.http://pookiedom.com/meigs/images/route_of_flight.jpgHere we are at Palwaukee Airporthttp://pookiedom.com/meigs/images/sandy_an...s_palwaukee.jpgThis is the instrument panel in the Cessna 172 (this was taken while still on the ground at Paulwaukee)http://pookiedom.com/meigs/images/panel.jpgHere we are taking off from Palwaukee Airporthttp://pookiedom.com/meigs/images/taking_o..._paulwaukee.jpgThis is the view from the cockpit as we approach downtown Chicago and Meigs Field from the north.http://pookiedom.com/meigs/images/approach..._from_north.jpg... to be continued in PART 2 ...
