There are at least three versions of the ACPC: FS2000 version, FS2002 version, and the new USB version. I have the FS2000 one. On it, you have to power up the unit while pressing the AP button to get it into the FS2000 mode; this enables the knobs you mentioned. Now, it's been a long time since I've used those knobs on the ACP (I have another panel now), but I think you also have to hack your FS2002.cfg file. Instructions on how to do it for FS2000 are in the version of the manual that I have; I don't know if the newer versions include a manual that talks specifically about FS2002.Dave BlevinsKRHV

Dave,As I purchased my ACP about one year ago, I think I also have the FS2000 version (not USB for sure). Could you please tell me which button on the ACP does launch the FS2000 version (AP, HDG, NAV, APP or ALT). I did not keep the manual, therefore I have no clue which button slaves the ACP to FS2000 or FS2002.Thanks for your helpRegards,Sro

The AP button, pressed while you turn the unit on, enables the FS2000 "Extended" mode.I just looked at the manual - you will also need modifications to your fs2002.cfg file as I mentioned above. Your ACP should've come with a CD that has a "ACPpropfs2K.cfg" file that you can look at and add the appropriate sections to your own .cfg file. Apparently what you're doing here is adding some undocumented FS control equivalencies that the extended mode of the ACPC uses. One thing that can be useful to see what's going on with the ACPC is to open a Notepad session and then turn the knobs. In some cases you'll see the characters that each knob/switch generates. You'll see different stuff in the extended mode - and sometimes you'll see nothing at all as (apparently) the ACPC is generating characters that are not displayable in Notepad.good luck,dB.
