Changed vidcards

Recommended Posts

Well I changed my GF2 64MB Ultra to a Leadtek GF4 4200 today. First of all, it is ALOT clearer view I must say. I run with ALL sliders maxed out on everything, running 1280X1024 res. I admit the fps only went up by 1 or 2 at most. Default Meigs daytime in the 172, no cloud I was getting 21 fps.I am going to adding 256MB more RAM and switching to XP tonite or tomorrow, so I'll post on the outcome. I'll also note that by changing the videocard ALONE my 3D score went from 4300 up to 8000, and thats using the old 30.82 Win98 drivers!!ChrisTBird 1200 @ 1400 on KT7A512MB PC133GF4 4200 128MB

Those leadtek cards sure do look cool dont they. Nice choice! Glad to see you had positive results. I was shocked at how much crisper the textures were when I replaced mine. It was like updating my prescrition!Brewmaster
