How I make the Beechcraft Baron flyable?

Recommended Posts

I've seen a few different explanations on how to make the AI planes flyable but none of them seem to have all the steps involved. I'd like to make the Beechcraft Baron 58 flyable so I can make use of a repaint template I downloaded. I have Fs2002 Standard. Can anyone assist? Thanks

Uh, the Baron is already flyable in FS2002.But I think FS2002 Standard comes without the Baron and a few other planes. It only comes with the PRO version.

But if the Baron in the standard edition is like the other AI aircraft..you have download a utility called AIRED. It is available at any of the major sites, probably here as well. Open up the aired, then click open to get the aircraft, in this case the baron. Then click on the .air file. On the aired window, you should now see the text of the .air file. Adjust the aircraft type=2, to aircraft type=0, save the text using the pull down menu and that should do it for that part. Now, you have to figure out what panel to give it. You can download any of the twin props panels from a site and apply that to the Baron. It is a wonderfly little twin to fly. If you have any problems feel free to write back..
