Navy Carriers

Featured Replies

I notice that someone else came out with a modern Carrier, How about making a nice long hulled Essex class Carrier, like I served on, over sixty years ago? It helped win the last war that we won. It would be a treat to be able to land a Corsair, a Hellcat, a Helldiver or maybe a SBD on a legitamate deck. Just an old man's thoughts.Bob Folsom

Hi BobWe've just done one for Abacus US. Check out their site at http://www.abacuspub.com.Graham P. Oxtoby

Bob,I've downloaded the following...FS 2004 Vintage AI Carrier OperationsThese files will put WWII US Naval Aircraft operating as AI off of the "ArrCab" Freeware carriers in FS2004 (FS9)u will also need Richard Hogan's ArrCab carriers , fs2002 i believe.do a search on Avsim .. the progs are pretty good and easy to install,it gives you quote "Seven AI Aircraft: F4F Wildcat, F6F Hellcat, F4U Corsair, SBD Dauntless, TBD Devastator, TBM Avenger (tweaked & modified from stock CFS2) and a J2F Duck", plus all the flightplans and afcad files to see this lot take off , patrol and land...should be interesting for you, and of course you could modify the ai to fly them. This is the guy who did it...Willy McCoy4 March [email protected]
