New System Advice

Featured Replies

All,I am going to purchase a new Gateway 700XL and I am unsure of monitor choice. I can stick with the 18" LCD flat panel Display that is standard with this system or for $191, upgrade to a 22" Mitsubishi Diamondtron VX1120 model. This is a larger screen but the monitor itself is very large. Also, the system comes standard with the 128MB ATI Radeon 9700G PRO AGP card. There is no option. What's the experience of FS2K2 with this card ?Any information would greatly be appreciated.Frank Cunningham

Nice PC, for gaming use a CRT instead of an LCD screen, looks way better and on the card, your good to go! I have the G4 Ti 4600 128 MB and I wish I had the one you are getting! LOLMichaelhttp://www.geocities.com/res052cd/cmhbanner.gif

Frank, I just got the same system, about a month ago. It came with the 18" monitor which is fabulous. It is a deifinte change from the EV700 monitor I had before. I am extremely pleased with the display from the LCD monitor. I think that this is going to be the way in the future. As you can see by Gateways new web site almost all of their systems are being sold with flat panel monitors. I had mine shipped with the GeForce Ti-4600 before they switched over to the Raedon.Just my personal opinion.;)Good luck on your choice JDUVAL
