Best GA twin?

Featured Replies

I've been away from FS2K2 for several months. What's the best GA twin these days? Seneca V? Cessna 421? Other? Thanks!Mike Baker

Uhmmm..I haven't purchased the Seneca, so I can't offer an opinion. I have all the other FSD aircraft and am quite happy with them. You might consider taking a look at FSD's Cheyenne. The 421 and my computer never got along. Only aircraft I've had problems with. I was able to fly it occasionally, and was quite impressed. I finally gave up and seperated it from the box of bits. I can't recall seeing too many problems with the 421 like mine. Certainly it is top notch. The default Baron can be made to be quite nice. Steve Small's .air file is a must (he recently re-released it to the public domain... here at the Avsim Forums). I also use Ed Truthan's recently released panel (bb1.zip) that can be found here in the library.I'm waiting for the Navajo from FSD. When it comes to top quality GA aircraft for this sim... it's like being a kid in a candy store. Hope this helps,

I think one of the best freeware turboprop twins has to be the Simubuild/United Sim Design's MU-2Here's a link to some shots I took yesterday...http://ftp.avsim.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboa...rum=DCForumID47It's very easy on fps, even with reflections.

For me the best one is the RealAir Simulations Marchetti SF.260http://www.realairsimulations.comA. Tony

I have almost every plane released over the last 6 month and here is my GA hit list (Places 1 and 2 also are also very depending on what kind of plane you like to fly, they could as well share the first place).1. Siai Marchetti frm realairsimulations2. Cessna 421 frm flight13. Piper Archer II frm dreamfleet4. Cessna Cardinal frm dreamfleet5. Seneca V frm FSDAs you are looking for a twin you might wanna go for no 2.Flight dynamics of the Seneca are great but graphics of the 421 are so much better. The 421 IMHO opinion is another league.Alex

Thanks for the replies.I've got the Cheyenne, and it is pretty good. I also used to fly the Baron quite a bit.Maybe I'll give the 421 a try...Mike Baker
