FS Video Question

Does anyone remember in FS98 and FS2000 you could include comments while you recorded a video? Is this still available in FS2002?? I can't find/remember the key to add comments into videos.I would really like to add comments because with out them newbie pilots have no clue what is going on or what your trying to teach them. + without comments this video feature is pretty useless for training purposes...Help!Erichttp://www.flycpva.org/images/msgbanner4.jpghttp://www.cpavirtual.orghttp://www.flysva.orghttp://Thai.virtualATP.orghttp://JAL.virtualATP.org

Unfortunately, this option is not available in FS2002 and I honestly don't recall ever seeing it in the other versions. ...I might have overlooked them, though. To add comments and such for training purposes the only really good way, that I'm aware of, is to have a video capture card to export the screen onto your camcorder or VCR, then record it back into the computer all nice and crisp. Then using an editor, fix your scenes up and add in words wherever you want. If you are interested in any of this and have any questions, fire them my way. I do amateur FS videos myself.FS Videos Web Pagehttp://home.earthlink.net/~chumaster/sig.jpg

Yep comments used to be available. From memory when you pressed ` during the video recording squecnce it would pause and you could type whatever. During video playback these comments would pop up at the top of the screen. I guess I'm out of luck.....Do you know if there is any software that can do video capture? Or am I stuck with hardware?Thanks,Erichttp://www.flycpva.org/images/msgbanner4.jpghttp://www.cpavirtual.orghttp://www.flysva.orghttp://Thai.virtualATP.orghttp://JAL.virtualATP.org

There IS video capturing software out there, but the outcome won't look very pretty. The one I used for a while before purchasing the video card was from the company TechSmith. You can try it out and see if you like it. Good luck!http://home.earthlink.net/~chumaster/sig.jpg
