June 10, 200223 yr Has anyone who uses WinXP created a separate instance to run FS2002 only, and been able to successfully disable processes that aren't required for other tasks except a network connection and FS itself? I'd be interested in what the minimum processes are, and if there were any issues caused by the activation of the 2nd instance on the same machine.Thanks,Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
June 10, 200223 yr You can create a new user account that does not have administrator rights. You can then modify this account so that minimum processes are used. (i.e. disable networking, printing etc. )When you start WinXP you will then have the option to log in as administrator or as the basic user that you created.See the following site for XP tips and tweaks.www.tweakxp.com/tweakxp/Dennis
