Strange panel behaviour with new Asus V8440 GeForce4 Ti

Featured Replies

I just received my computer back after it was formatted due to some hardware troubles. But I get some strange panel effects when I run FS in a 1600x1200 resolution. See screenshots below.http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d29e00b5cb68573.jpghttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d29e02a5d55b2ee.jpgI have the latetst drivers from Asus, does someone know where these problems come from?Other System specifiations.Pentium III 800ABit BE6 II motherboard512 MB RAM30 GB Hard diskWindows 98 Second editionThanks in advance,Jasper

Hi Jasper,I too had that problem, it only occurs with some driver sets. Head on over to www.nvidia.com or www.guru3d.com and download the latest drivers. I'm currently running 29.42 and they work just great :)

Hey thanks for your reply John. Can I run the Nvidia drivers from www.guru3d.com or do I have to download the drivers from Asus? Can all the GeForce4 cards run on the same drivers? Thanks and regards,JasperThe Netherlands

Hi Jasper,You don't need to run the specific drivers from Asus, any Detonator driver works. The best idea is to go to www.nvidia.com and get their latest drivers.I'm running a Leadtek GF Ti4400 and use the latest and greatest Det's all the time.Good luck :)
