August 8, 200223 yr My hard drive is constantly "pulsing". It causes my computer to pause once every 2 seconds. It is completely driving me crazy. Does ANYone know what it might be? August 8, 200223 yr I would be sure that you have the proper IDE drivers loaded. The mother board manufacturer should provide them.
August 8, 200223 yr Also check your processes tab in task manager to be sure that you don't have something running that isn't suppose to be. I've seen programs like Mcafee taking 100 cpu resources when it should be taking way less. Like 2 to 8%
