November 22, 200223 yr I bought this joystick when it first came out and it worked great with Win98SE. I am now running WinXP Home and am unable to get the Logitech calibration software to work with XP. I downloaded the update from Logitech for XP and can't get it to install. I'm not a programmer and their help solutions are no help to me. If anyone can give me a fix for this I would certainly appreciate it. It's a great joystick but I would like to be able to calibrate it using the Logitech software which would enable me to adjust the forces.Feel free to e-mail me or answer in the Forum. Thanks in advance.Craig [email protected]
November 22, 200223 yr I am using that stick on XP professional without any problems. Mine is a USB interface. The version of the Profiler that I have is 4.20.167. I downloaded the latest logitech driver-file in October and do not recall any particular problem installing it. I cannot guarantee that the following would work, but I would try something like this to try to get a "clean" install.MAKE SURE that you are logged on with "administrator" privileges.1. Use the "control panel | install-uninstall software", and uninstall your current Wingman software.2. Use the "control panel | system | device manager" and uninstall the logitech stuff under "Human Interface Devices". 3. Unplug the stick from the computer, 4. Reboot5. Plug in the stick to the computer and make sure the power is on to the stick.6. Doubleclick on the "new" dowloaded Logitech file ws420enu.exe to launch the driver installer, and follow instructions, if any. Art.
