January 20, 200323 yr Some things to check are heat buildup in your computer. Check to see if you BIOS has a temperature page and monitor your temps. Make sure all your fans are clean and turning properly. Try running your computer with the cover off to see if it still crashes.Check your drivers for your controller chips, i.e., VIA, Intel, SiS, AMD, ALi, etc. Also check your drivers for sound, graphics adapter, NICs, etc.Check to see if you have any contentions in Device Manager, i.e., ?, !, X and what devices are using what IRQs. If more than one device is using an IRQ, try moving the card away from the other to see if it will switch IRQs.Check http://microsoftgamesinsider.com/CFSInsider/default.htm for information about configurations.
