Blurred Ground Textures

Featured Replies

Just re-installed XP Home and loaded a fresh copy of FS2002.Have the latest detonator driver 41.09 installed (just as before) and tried my second install of FS2002 which didn't fix this issue which is a gray ground (and water) that is blurred (see picture).Tried all settings (anti-aliasing on/off, MIP etc..). Anyone seen this before? The picture is about 200 feet off the ground at Meigs. Thanks,Bob

I had a similar problem after a re-install several months ago. After several days of nothing but frustration I decided to do another re-install and realized that I had not installed the scenery correctly. Do a complete re-install and pay extra attention to the options you select especially if your customizing your installation. I forget the exact error I made, but I do remember that it had something to do with the scenery installation. After correcting this, it worked beautifully. Good luck!Brian

Just a reminder for OS reinstallers. Your computer will only marginally operate with the default drivers provided by an OS. Ensure you have downloaded and installed the updated drivers for your controller chips, i.e., VIA, Intel, SiS, AMD, ALi, etc., sound, graphics adapter, NICs, modems, etc. Also install any updates to the OS, especially WinXP SP1, and any pre-SP2 updates.

Seems this was caused by my high-speed (56X) cd-drom. Installed it with my slower DVD player and everything worked out.
