February 3, 200323 yr I noted that after flashing my BIOS and then resetting the CMOS, that the option "Video BIOS Cacheable" is now enabled. I'm sure I had it disabled before. What does this do (the ABit manual is very vague). And should it be enabled? Thanks. WinXP, 1.80G P4, 1G PC-2700 RAM, G3/Ti200 video, ABit BD7-2 mainboard.Bruce. February 3, 200323 yr Bruce, here is a site with the general explanations for most BIOS settings.http://www.pcguide.com/ref/mbsys/bios/set/index.htmThere are obviously many more out there and some focusing more on squeezing more performance out of your computer, but the above site should be a good place to start.Look under "Advanced chipset features" for an explanation about Video BIOS cacheable.

March 2, 200323 yr Bruce, Depending on your card you may or may not notice a performance boost. Most cards nowadays do not need there Bios cahed. When you updated your Bios and reset the CMOS you reset all settings to default. When this is done you need to go in and re-setup your Bios. I agree w both the above posts. Great information and reading.Bobby
