March 1, 200323 yr I would download and install FSUIPC, read the instructions on calibrating joysticks, and try calibrating the joystick.FSUIPC can also show you if you have a bias in one direction on your joystick. It is usually the twist grip rudder that gives problems but in your case maybe the pitch direction has a bias.Does the joystick come with drivers, and calibration on its own? Bill Sieffert
March 2, 200323 yr I installed FSUIPC and found out that the joystick probably has got a slight pitch bias. I tried another flightsim games like FLANKER 2.0 and there is a same problem. So I installed another game F-22 AIR DOMINANCE FIGHTER and guess what. NO PROBLEM!!! Wo what is wrong. I do not understand. When there is a problem with the stick, it should make problems with all the games. But it does not. What do you think?Tomas
March 2, 200323 yr If you look in your fs2002 folder, you will find a devices.cfg file. This file has many joystick/yokes devices with preset numbers. I don't know if your joystick is listed. However, these number represent sensitivities, null and switch values for the particular device. When you enter the option, settings, controls, assignments/sensitivities sections, does it show your joystick? If so, it probably used the devices.cfg to set the default settings. If you installed drivers for your joystick, it may have a calibration area for your joystick to null out the neutral point of your joystick.I can't say what your other games do to make the settings adjustments.Again, I recommend FSUIPC to calibrate your joystick/yoke, since it is external to the normal data stream and can remove any built in bias.
