March 9, 200323 yr Hi, just had a new Asus V8460 GF4TI4600 128mb. fitted. When I run Smart Doctor, It flashes a warning "Your VGA card voltage is out of safe bound, m/b does'nt supply a reliable 3.3 voltage" It also says "Your current overclocking method is overclocking core clock". I have'nt touched any settings (don't know how to) Could it be a faulty m/b, or just needs a higher power psu. Any help would be much appreciated as I have lost all confidence in the guy who (up till now)has supplied my computer. It's taken almost a month to get this card fitted, first he fitted a 64mb TI4200, then, believe it or not a 64mb mx440. I had to really fall out with the guy and finish up taking it to the shop for the umpteenth time and make him read what was stamped on the card before he would admit he was wrong.Win 98seAMD 2000xp(3mths old)Soltek SL-75DRV5 m/b(3mths old)512mb DDR ram300w psuThanks for any help.Russell.
March 9, 200323 yr if you go to your bios, what is your 3.3volt setting at? that's what powers your video card. If it's way off I would recommend getting a new power supply. Peferably a 350Watt at least.
March 9, 200323 yr Author Thanks for the advice. I'll go order a new 400w psu tomorrow and see if that does the trick.Best Regards,Russell.

Peferably a 350Watt >at least. I would not bet on a new PS fixing a low 3.3V. Some ASUS motherboards (A7V333 for one) seem to incur a large loss, and the bus sees only about 3.15-3.20, even with a 430W ANTEC... unless you personally tweak the 3.3 pot in the PS (IF your PS is tweakable, and you dont care about warranty)Art.
March 10, 200323 yr Author Thanks for that Art, I reckon I'LL get an expert to look at it before I waste more cash. I really appreciate a bit of feed back from you guys who know your stuff. Thanks again.Russell.
