Hmm . . . ASUS P4PE P4 2.4 GHZ 512 MB Kingston Ram PC2700 DDR333 MSI CDRW 52x24x52 Enlight Mid ATX case 350 watt WD 80 Gig HDD 8 mb cache 7200 rpm Thinking about Win XP Pro on this system and maybe a dual boot. I use ThrustMaster F22/TQS/RCS with stickworks digital chips. I've read elsewhere that the TM gear is not programmable outside of WinXP. If this is true this is the only reason to have a dual boot. Any advice would be appreciated :)Smiley

First, save yourself some money and get WinXP Home unless you are going to build and manage a Website. I have WinXP Pro and Home and find all I ever needed was Home. I have five computers on a home LAN and don't use any of the WinXP Pro network extras.I have two computers dual booted with Win98SE/WinXP, in the long run I will probably reformat and eliminate Win98SE. If you have very old programs that you need to run and the compatibility mode of WinXP doesn't get it to work, then that would be the only reason to dual boot.

I have been able to get my F22 gear up and runing in WinXP. My most important software is already loaded and running on WinXP so I'm good to go. Now I need to tweak my CMOS and video settings to get the most out of my system for simming. My 3DMark2001SE score is a measly 3750 :(, I was this high (or close) with my AMD 1.2ghz and older ram.
