Greetings,Here's the problem, In a nutshell.......FS2K2 crashes. I would be in the middle of flying and all of a sudden...that error window shows up.." There's been a problem with (blah..blah).I have the latestes graphic drivers.......defragged the drive...even took everything off the second drive and left flight sim on the drive by itself. My system is not over-clocked in any way. SO far as heat, I have the case open...a standard HS fan that came with the processor...a second case fan blowing air out the back and 2 PS fans build into the PS itself. I do have a most (if not all) of Project AI's planes installed as well as most the major and regional aiports updraded using AFCAD files from AVSIM. I have FSUIP's lastest DLL installed also. I have the enviromental upgade in that upgrades buildings, runways, taxiways, and their lighting installed. Those are the only extras.My System:AMD 2600+ ....2.1 ghzCorsair 2x256 PC2700 (333 bus)2 WD HDs 40GIG each1 52 speed CD-ROM1 Plextor 12/10/32a CDRW DriveGForce 4 TI4400 graphics card1 NIC Kinston 10/100 (DSL)1 SB PCI128 PCI soundcard (never had a problem to change itWindows 2000 Professional (stable as hell)I recently wiped the first drive clean b/c the admin files got corrupt and things started acting up. Reinstalling the OS was flawless. Then decided to reinstall FS also. I wiped the seconf drive clean..did an Fdisk on it and reset the partitions. Reinstalling FS was flawless. I decided to reistall FS b/c it was crashing before but not as often as it is now ( everytime I fly). The only background things I have running are Zone Alarm and software for my Handspring Treo 300 which is a cell phone/PDA in one. So can anyone tell me what could be the cause of a Freeze...and in some cases...a reboot of the PC....any suggestions are appreciated...if you need for info..I will be checking this tread for any additional request....Also is there a FS utility that checks the whole FS Sim and finds faults of the like? That MS report does not tell me a thing......ALWAYS AIMING HIGH!!

Just to be sure, did you install the drivers for your controller chips and diskdrive accelerator, i.e., Intel, VIA, SiS, AMD, ALi? If not, that would be were I would start. I would search for the latest in these drivers if you only installed earlier one from a CD you may have had. I also assume you installed a the OS Service Packs during the OS reinstallation.

yes...the 4 in 1 drivers upgrade most of those things I believe. If I'm wrong.....I can always be a good student and learn new things..ALWAYS AIMING HIGH!!
