Monitor frequencies

Featured Replies

Can anyone help please. Why I press Fly on from the create a flight screen in FS2002 my monitor screen now goes all blurry and tells me that the HV is outside range. Range is 30-70 and actual frequency is 75 Hz - this is for a refresh rate of 60Hz. If I increase the refresh rate on my monitor then the same thing happens but the actual frequency is higher still. It looks as if I need to set the refresh rate less than 60 Hz but there is no option to do this.Is my monitor broken? Many help gratefully appreciated.Running a Athlon 1800+, 512 MB RAM, GeForce2MX400, 17" Gateway EV700 monitor, Windows XP Home edn, and Nvidia 44.33 drivers(latest)

Sounds like you are trying to do something that your monitor can't do. I bet that you are going fullscreen, on a resolution that is higher than your desktop(which has no problems with 75 hrz you said?) Because your FS reso is higher than the desktop, it just can't do 75 hrz at that high reso.Of course, if you are going fullscreen at the same or lower resolution as your desktop, then I am wrong. :)

Hi.If you can see your Desktop your monitor is working. Below you will find the specs for your monitor. If the problem started after installing something, maybe XP?, you may need to set your ...Properties..
