Ok, I can

Marc,Great choice on the card !! You won't be sorry. As for the CPU, I can't say. Do you know anything about overclocking. I ask this because for the money you spent on the CPU you could have purchased a new motherboard and memory that would have allowed you to run your old 2Ghz at around 2.6 to 2.8 Ghz 100 % stable all w aircooling. The added benefit would have been also seen in running a much higher Front Side Bus taking advantage of the added bandwidth. The setup would actually out perform your new CPU.Than again if all this sounds like Greek to you than you made a great choice and should be pretty happy with it.Good LuckBobby

Bobby,i see you now have the Radeon 9800(256MB) version. in your opinion how does it stack up against the 9700 PRO in performance & visuals in FS2K2? just curious. thanks for the info. fm

Is it faster?? kinda hard to say as my 9700 was a pretty sweet piece of silicone. With a Zalman Heat Pipe and a 40mm fan it would do 405/380+ stable. I do notice a difference in FS w the 9800. I am also sure that as soon as I get my hands on FS2K4 and DoomIII it will show an even greater performance difference.Bobby

thanks for the info. Bobby. given that FS2004 is based on the 2k2 engine(more CPU dependant)do you think that even with the extra memory it will make that much of a difference in 2k4 over the 9700 in a 3.0Ghz system? i was thinking of "maybe" giving the 9800 a try.(after the price comes down of course). thanks again for your input. happy flyin, fm
