July 11, 200322 yr Hi there :-)(hope this is the right forum)....Are their any major differences between XP pro and XP home ? I'm thinking about getting a new system soon (I'll be in touch FPSFREAK ;-)) and im not sure which to get....THanks
July 12, 200322 yr If you want to set up a home network, or connect to a network at work/college, I'd recommend XP Pro. My father-in-law had XP Home, and we found no way to network his two computers (the other one was running Win98), but there was no problem setting it up with XP Pro.Other than that, I don't think there are too many differences.Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg
July 13, 200322 yr I would suggest that anyone that can get XP Professional, it's got a lot more to it than the Home edition, and it doesen't lock up either like the Home version can, and there are more things you can do in the Pro version that you can't do with the Home version, plus there are fixes to it that weren't included in the home edition, if you like,it's like comparing FS2002 standard to FS2002 Professional.Steve,
