July 18, 200322 yr Hello,I'm interested in transferring some VHS tapes on to my computer for later burning on DVD once I get a recorder. I have a Radeon 9700 Pro (not All-in-Wonder) and I was wondering if there is a way to do this? I read through the Radeon manual and it says you can connect a VCR to the computer with an S-Video cable but I really don't know where to go after that. Thanks

http://timbo87.home.comcast.net/sig/vulc.jpg

| [link:www.alphasim.co.uk]Alpha Sims]
[/table

July 20, 200322 yr Hi, Tim.Your SVHS port is an Output only, to your TV. If you want to Capture you need an Input, to your computer. The All in Wonder would do that for you. Since you do not have that, you would need another way to do that. There are many ways to do that, one would be a Fire Wire / 1394 port that some Cameras, provide. Other options are availble, but you need a Fast xfer rate to get a good quality video. I hope this helps. TV
