Can someone please tell me what "Antistrophic Filtering" (or "AF") is, in relationship to video cards, and FS in particular? I'm aware of AA and Mip-Mapping and the effect that both of these have on FS, but not AF. I hope I have these terms correct, I'm at work right now.Another video question specific to FS: I assume the settings on the Hardware Tab (Options/Video, as I recall it), like AA, etc. only apply to the Full Screen video, and in Windowed mode the desktop settings are used? Is that correct? Finally- has anyone here used the DVI output of a video card to feed into the DVI input of a flat-screen monitor, and found it noticeably better (or worse) than the A/D-D/A conversion process using the VGA connection? What should I notice if implementing the DVI connection? Thanks,Bruce.

Well i can't tell you what Antistrophic Filtering is, but I can tell you what it does, im greatly improves image quality but suffer a frame loss with Nvidia cards, Ati's card and have the AF quit high and little to none performance loss. The big thing when I have tried truning AF on my system, was good bye blurries and the textures appeared clearer and sharper! I dont know about your second question but I used the DVI output on my card, I have not used on a flat screen monitor but I did use it and hook it up to my TV.
