September 20, 200322 yr Hi,anyone have any ideas here as to why this is happening,I will include my sys specs at the bottom of this post.FS9 seems to run OK and I don't seem to have any real issues apart from the known driver bug of the lines etc with the CAT36/37's from ATI, I have the Hercules 9800 Pro 128mb card, I was trying to install my medal of honor allied assault game on my new machine and I kept having problems with it,the tech support guy at EA Games went through a few things with me which seemed to be OK, he took me through the DX Diag part and said ''theres you're problem'' which you will see in the screen shot, I disabled everything at the start up of XP Pro,and tried un-installing my cat3.6's and re-booting, then removing any traces reg entrys etc, then re-installing the cat3.6, then the 3.7's, but I still get this AGP issue, I'm wondering if its a card thats faulty here, I have all the latest drivers,up-dates etc,and my BIOS is set correctly, although I did try disabling enabling AGP fastwrites etc,and altering the AGP aperature size from 128 to 256,512 etc,all made no difference at all.any help here would be most welcome guy's,thanksSteve.
September 20, 200322 yr Open device manager, open system devices, and search for a CPU to AGP entry, i.e., VIA CPU to AGP Controller, Intel CPU to..., SiS CPU to..., etc.If you don't find any, then you need to install/reinstall your MOBOs controller chip drivers, i.e., Intel, VIA, SiS, AMD, ALi, etc.W. September 21, 200322 yr You need to visit www.asus.com.tw and download the nf2v116_wxp.ziphttp://www.asus.com/support/download/item....ModelName=A7N8X from thedownload utilities menu. You may already have this file on an Asus CD. Itis approx 16MB so if you can find it on a CD, all the better. If you download, you will have to unzip the file, look for a readme, followthe instructions. If no readme, look for a setup.exe file and execute it.This file contains all the MOBO drivers for your MOBO. It looks like youeither didn't install them or some didn't get installed initially.According to the manual I downloaded, you have a Support CD. If itautoloads it should load to the drivers menu page. You need to install theNVidia NForce and USB2.0 drivers. Since you are using WinXP, you don't needany Win98 drivers.W. Sieffert Bill Sieffert
