I'm thinking about doubling my RAM to 1 gigabyte by the end of the year, just to make sure I'll be prepared for whatever hot new releases may come next year. I currently have two 256 MB sticks fitted into memory banks 1 and 3 and running in dual-channel addressing mode. However, would I disable dual-channel addressing if I were to plug in a 512 MB stick into bank 2 in addition to those I already have, and should thus get two 512 meg sticks and replace the 256 units?Thanks! :-)

Hi Dominik,it will still use dual-channel mode with all three sockets in use.However, som people have experienced problems when using different-sized modules.
