question for FPSFREAK

hi Bobby, got a question for ya. i noticed in your sig. that your system is O/C'd to 3.45ghz. i have the same setup - mobo. & all (except monitor). i can't get past 3.2ghz with stability. if you don't mind my asking what is your FSB & Voltage/V-Core settings? obviously, changing the multiplier is out of the question since Intel locks their multipliers. also, are you using Stock or Water Cooling on the CPU? btw, running latest bios and driver updates for all. thanks and happy flyin, fm

FM,Honestly, I run no aftermarket cooling at all. Basically a stock based Intel HSF at default VCore. My FSB is set at 150/38. I am running Kingston PC1066. I am running the 1009 Bios as I noticed the 1010 Bios was not as stable. Other than 4 80mm fans in my wavemaster, that's it. I also lucked out with the stepping and revision on my CPU. That can make a big difference.Bobby

thanks for the info. Bobby. i did try the FSB setting that you're running - that's when i ran into the stability probs. i'm running Samsung PC1066. where can i find the Stepping and Revsion info. on my CPU and how does it affect the O/C capabilities of the CPU? also, if memory serves me correctly, there's a "voltage" field in the bios as well. if so, are you running at the default voltage setting as well? thanks again for your help. happy flyin, fm
