November 23, 200322 yr Can anyone recommend a PCI-based, fast controller card?I have an analog yoke (the pretty expensive AFCS II) that will not work on my Pentium IV WinXP machine using the Dell supplied Soundblaster card. The digital Microsoft Sidewinder runs just fine. Advice on this forum indicates the problem is that the Soundblaster game controller is not fast enough to keep up. Since I do not want to buy a USB yoke, I would like to get a better gameport card. I do not believe there is one on the motherboard.Any help would be very much appreciated! Tom
November 23, 200322 yr an alternative might be a gameport>usb adaptor. Radio Shack sells one...But I seem to recall that these things only transmit a limited # of the buttons...good luck,Dave Blevins System: Asus P8Z68 Deluxe/Gen3 mobo *** i7 2700K @ 5gHz w/ Corsair H80 cooler NVidia GTX 570 OC *** 8 GB 1600 Corsair Vengeance DRAM *** CoolerMaster HAF X case System overclocked and tuned for FSX by fs-gs.com Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog stick/throttle & CH Products Pro Pedals Various GoFlight panels *** PFC avionics stack
