I>don't know..>In that case, my guess it that it's for thermal monitoring of the power supply. If it was for fan RPM monitoring, it would have a three-pin connector with no wire going to the center pin. If you look at page 2-28 of the Asus MB manual, there's a diagram at the bottom of the page that shows a two-wire connector near the bottom right corner of the MB for a power supply thermal connector. (I'm looking at the online manual, assuming that the page numbers are the same as the paper manual.)But, I'm like you, I'm a chicken when it comes to connecting wires I'm not sure about. Did the power supply come with a manual, or is it a brand-name PS that has a support website?

From what I understand that is pretty normal these days. I have Email out to them for answer but I think I may be in for a LONG wait... also Emailed ASUS for answer to my Serial ATA HD problem (other post of mine) but who knows when or IF you will get answers.I really think one of the big problems these days is that most of this stuff is made in non english speaking countries and the translation really hurts the instructions many times. At least enough to cast doubt when the end user needs to do the dirty work. Also why you don't get answers to email many times as the company is only an importer/distributor for the item and any real techs are on the other side of the world. Thanks,
