I might be upgrading to one of the new socket 939 when they are available and to a 2.4 GHz Athlon 64 FX. Will get get a good improvement in performance in FS2004 upgrading to an Athlon FX 64 from a P4 3 GHz?

Why are you upgrading? Your system is fast enough, you will some very minor improvements, but not worth it, 3GHZ is friggin fast, save your money, dont buy a whole mobo and cpu, just get some more ram for the current one, that will help.

Thanks, I will hold on to my 3GHz P4 until I can get a CPU that is significantly faster. However I'm going to be upgrading from a 9800 Pro to a 6800 Ultra or a X800 XT for my other games.
